Imagine you could have every special event in one spot for your wedding. No stress, no complications, and a passionate team behind you helping you plan for every detail. The Radisson, located in Downtown Bismarck, offers all of this and more to couples looking for a wedding day perfectly tailored to them.

First built in 1983, the Radisson in Downtown Bismarck has seen close to 4,000 brides come through their doors. Its location at the heart of downtown makes it walkable to a variety of restaurants, bars, shops, and businesses. Within the hotel is a bar and restaurant, Off Broadway Lounge and the Terrace restaurant, so guests don’t even need to leave the hotel for fine dining. With 215 rooms, a beautiful ballroom that seats up to 320, full-service catering, and even complimentary parking, the Radisson is ready to serve any couple who walks through their doors.

Imagine your wedding at the Radisson, where you can have the traditional wedding experience, full of details and opportunities for time-honored customs without the stress of organizing, traveling, and convoluted planning. At the Radisson, celebrate the night before at your venue with a delicious catered rehearsal dinner, then spend the evening celebrating with your bridesmaids and groomsmen for your bachelor or bachelorette party, either at the hotel’s bar or at one of the many bars within walking distance. Your bridal party and guests can all stay at the venue and wake up to a delicious breakfast before getting ready for the wedding. Detailed, thoughtful getting-ready rooms await the groomsmen and bridesmaids. For a stunning first-look, the grand staircase presents a first-look opportunity straight out of a movie. Located around the Radisson are unique photo opportunities across a variety of styles, like art alley, the sky walk, the Belle Mehus, an industrial parking ramp, or even a McDonald’s for a fun photo shoot. Your reception can be hosted in their beautiful ballroom that can be tailored to your wedding vision. Catering staff can serve plated meals, a buffet style meal, or even hors d'oeuvres. The bar offers several options too, such as a cash bar, host bar, or drink tickets. A traditional wooden dance floor for a night of partying completes the space. You and your newly married soulmate can stay in the presidential suite and wake up the next morning to breakfast, a gift opening, and a treasure trove of memories from your big day.

Choosing the Radisson as your venue offers opportunities for special moments for the rest of your life. You can come back to celebrate anniversaries by eating in the restaurant, celebrating at the bar, or booking a stay in the hotel. Couples who were married at the venue 40 years ago, are now watching their own children get married at the same place and hosting baby showers for these children. Choosing a venue like the Radisson offers multi-generational memories and impact.

The team behind the weddings at the Radisson are passionate about offering a venue with all-encompassing services and have the years of experience to back it up. Lara Loritz, the director of sales, has been at the Radisson since July of 2025, but has worked in the hospitality and food/beverage industry for 25 years. Brenda Mack, the catering manager, has been with the Radisson for 11 years, and has close to 25 years of hospitality and food/beverage experience herself. MaDonna Ackerman, catering and sales assistant has worked at the Radisson in her current position for three years, but prior to that, she worked in the Radisson’s bar. Together, these women bring experience and enthusiasm to the wedding planning process for all their couples.

The team behind weddings at the iconic Radisson understand the importance of the day for you and your family. “I really feel like it’s an honor for us to be included in such a special day for the families,” says Brenda. For most people, a wedding is the most intricate event they will ever plan, on top of it being the most important day of their lives, and they do not take this responsibility lightly. “They chose us and it’s the biggest event they have ever planned and the biggest event they will ever plan,” describes Lara. However, they do not let the importance of the day weigh down their attitude of fun and excitement. “You’re helping two people come together and plan a big event for them of love,” says MaDonna. Their passion will help you avoid stress and allow you to focus on visualizing the best day of your life. Whatever you want, they will help you execute it. “I always tell them, it’s your day, you can do what you want, there’s no right or wrong answer,” Brenda describes. “Weddings are my favorite part of my job.”

The Radisson can also be booked for just portions of your wedding day, if you are interested in a more modern wedding experience. You can book your rehearsal dinner, room block, gift opening, getting-ready rooms, and more, even if you decide to book your reception elsewhere. Whatever you need on your wedding day, the team at the Radisson will go above and beyond to make the start of your happily ever after perfect.
