Kalli + Shane

An interview with Kalli:

Where did you and your husband meet?

“We actually met at a Riley Green concert. We had mutual friends from Bible study, and that’s how we got connected at the concert. I was a little unsure about the mustache, but then we danced together, and the rest was history.”

Tell us a little bit about your love story.

“Shane and I hit it off from the beginning. Our first date we went to a smoothie shop and played board games. I wasn’t sure if it was a date, but at the end, he said, “I know we both like each other so,” and I was like wait… do I like him? Haha. I was praying about my future husband, and he is everything I prayed for. A friend of mine actually spoke into our relationship before she even knew we knew each other. She told us, “I had a dream about you guys last night,” and we knew God was telling us to pursue each other.”

Where and when did he propose?

“Shane proposed in March at Botanical Brothers in Fargo! He set up photos and brought me there to get a “plant”. Even though he knows I can’t take care of plants - haha.”

Where are you getting married?

“We are getting married at Ivy and Rose Warehouse in Fargo!”

Where did he buy your ring?

“He actually bought it in Mexico. He knew he wanted to custom make it, and when he was on family vacation down there, he did. However, it wasn’t ready by the time they left, so he had to fly back down there a few weeks later to get it. He told me they were going on a “fishing trip.” The ring wasn’t ready by that time, so he said, “actually we are going next week,” and I was like, that’s weird. But he said, “the fish just aren’t biting right now.” I thought that was totally valid and didn’t question it. Silly me.”

Your photos are so unique and so fun, why pickleball?

Shane and I love to play pickleball together. Of course, I always win but he’s a good sport. Haha, just kidding. We started playing last winter and usually play about once a week with our friends. We love it and thought it would be cute to have photos that embrace something we love to do with someone we love!”
